This plan should be reviewed annually with existing staff, introduced to new hires during their orientation, and briefed to all contract workers at the commencement of a project.

  • Activate the water and liquid damage emergency operations plan​

  • Turn off the power immediately

  • Track down and shut off the cause of leakage

  • Cover-up equipment if leaking continues from above

  • Begin removing the liquid and clear wet items​

  • Begin cleanup and drying procedures immediately​

  • Ensure the right preservatives used on equipment don't cause corrosion, conduct electricity, or risk fire

  • Call professional cleaners and restorers immediately​
